What is a web address?
The address of your website is what people will use to access it. The technical term for the address is a 'domain name'. For example, our domain name is 'beasolutions.com'. This name is very important, so it is worth taking time to think about and decide upon the most appropriate domain name for you, because this name needs to be registered for you, before someone else takes it.
What name should I choose?
Many people find trying to decide on a domain name difficult. If you are a business, then your company name is the most obvious choice, but if your company name is a common word or phrase then it may already be taken. Businesses with initials in their name also often find that another business they have never heard of has already registered their company name. For example, bea.com is shorter and easier to remember than our domain name, but it is already registered by an american software company. We can check with the registry on your behalf to see if the domain name you would like is taken, and if necessary we can suggest other suitable names.
What happens once I've decided?
Once you decide on your domain name we can register it for you, manage it to ensure it does not lapse, and then renew it when needed. In this capacity we act as a registration agent on your behalf. Registrations are in periods of a year, with some name types requiring a minimum of a two-year registration.
Can I use my own domain name?
It may be that you already own a domain name. If this is the case, then we can transfer it over so that we can use it for your website. If you are thinking of having a website produced, it is worth asking us register your domain name as soon as possible to avoid someone else registering it in the mean time.
What does this service cost?
